Comment: I retired from the hospital with almost 45 years there. Since retirement I enjoy spending time with my two beautiful grandchildren and of course my two kids. I'm active in the VFW having served the Corunna Auxiliary as its president. I lost my husband Charles in January of 2005 unexpectedly we had been married for 32 years.

Comment: For 27 years I worked at the K-Mart in Corunna. Moved to Bay city with 2nd husband bought 34 ft. sailboat.Took year off and sailed it to Florida then to the Bahamas for almost 4 months. Came to Florida started working at CVS/Pharmacy. Retired in 2010 set sail for Bahamas again. Husband (Don) got sick. Came back to Florida. He passed away 6 months later. Old boss (best boss I have ever had) asked me to come back to CVS and that is where I am at now.

Comment: Married for 39 years to Sandy. We live in Carleton, MI (north Monroe County). I am still working as the security manager for Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. Tried retiring once, but flunked. After 25 years as a Michigan State Police officer, I began a ten year career as a Comcast corporate security director, based out of Southfield, MI, but in charge of 8 midwest states. Then the 2008 recession hit and our midwest division went away, along with about 140 jobs. I then ventured into healthcare security by becoming the security director for the new Henry Ford West Bloomfield hospital. After 10 years there, transferred to Henry Ford Wyandotte where I remain. My wife and I have been fortunate to travel to many areas of the world both by sea and land. We will continue to travel as long as our health allows.  We are blessed and fortunate. We have 4 adult children and four grandchildren. Life has been good. The photo labeled "now' was actually taken about 8 years ago when I visited one of my two best friends in life (and at OHS)--Bill Stuart--about 3 weeks before his passing from cancer. I still miss him!

Retired this year and moved back to the Grand Rapids area in September of this year


Have 2 small dogs (rescued); our girls think we treat them better than we treated them. Probably do.
