Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: retired teacher/coach
Comment: I earned both my B.S. and M.A. degrees from Western Michigan University where I played football for the Broncos.   During my 35 year teaching career,  I taught physical education and science, while keeping busy in the summers with drivers education.  Along with teaching, I coached football, tennis, wrestling and track, spending many memorable hours riding the 'big yellow.'

After working at OHS for 32 of those years, I retired to spend time pleasing my lovely wife of 44 years, Linda.  We enjoy spending time with our daughter and son and those two very active grandsons of ours, as well as traveling around this wondrous world.

Cindy LeCureux (Babcock)

Valerie Leppien (Ruggles)

Comment: Valerie with one of her 14 grandchildren.  Married in December 1969 to my husband Bruce.  Graduated from Central Michigan in teaching.  Taught on an Army base in Boblingen, Germany and for IBM for two years.  We traveled all over Europe during that time, tehn came back to the states and began a family.  We have five children and 5 spouses.  That makes 24 people to pay for when we take everyone on yearly vacations.  Bruce and I have been on 50 cruises, some we shared with the kids but we have taken them to Hawaii, Jamica a couple of times, rented a lodge in Pigeon Forge, TN and rented two 79 foot houseboats to tour Lake Powell in Utah.  In 1988we met a very drunk driver going the wrong way on I-75.  Put all of our family in three diferent hospitals in two different cities.  I took the brunt of the force with the 21 year old drunk going 95 mph and our cruise was set at 75 mph.  Consequently I was on a respirator for 4 weeks and confined to a hospital bed for a long time after that with a broken back, internal injuries, head injuries and face injuries.  I now have to walk with a cane (darn it) but I am still herre.  Had a bout with breast cancer and am still dealing with that.  I have taught college here in Michigan, played and conducted in bell choir and on and on.  That is my life and I am glad to be writing this.
